Overview

When Coca-Cola and Oreo decided to become “Besties,” it was a campaign of firsts: the first food partnership in the Coca-Cola Creations platform, its largest collaboration to date, and the first Creations drop ever backed by a TV commercial. That commercial, and the film system around it, was built at LOBO under the working name Project Destiny, with AKQA and TMA. The brief had one non-negotiable: the CG had to be indistinguishable from the real thing, down to the cookie emboss. From there the films let each icon become the other, Coke fizzing into an Oreo, an Oreo dissolving into Coke, for a limited-edition cookie with red edible glitter and a Zero Sugar with a cookie-flavoured hint, launched across 35 markets in September 2024.
